Drew Rockwell, CEO
Drew Rockwell is MDS Group Chief Executive Officer, leading both the Customer Experience Management and Analytics Divisions. Drew joined Lavastorm in 2002 to lead its transformation to a global analytic software and services company, and he remained as Chief Executive when the company was acquired by UK-based Martin Dawes Systems in 2005. He assumed responsibility for Group operations in 2010. He has 32 years of executive and management experience in the communications and software industries. Prior to Martin Dawes Analytics, Drew served as Chief Operating Officer of MCK Communications, and he began his career at Verizon, where he held executive positions in general management, sales, marketing, operations, and corporate strategy and development. He is an Honors graduate of Dartmouth College.
Timothy J. Dunne, COO & Managing Director, Americas/EMEA
Timothy Dunne has been the COO & Managing Director, North America/EMEA since June 2011. He is accountable for sales, product development, engineering, customer management, and professional services for Lavastorm Analytics. He joined Lavastorm Analytics as Chief Operating Officer in September 2009. Previously, he was VP, Business Operations at Nextlink Wireless, a leading fixed wireless network provider, where he was accountable for day-to-day operations of product management and development, customer operations, customer deployments, and IT platforms. He was the Chief Technology Officer of RCN Corporation, where he overhauled their network, customer care, IT, provisioning, marketing, and products and improved all operating metrics. Previously, he was VP of Digital Media and Business Development at Nextel Communications, where he led the wireless data product and web activities for the company. Dunne started his career at Bell Atlantic/Verizon and spent 14 years in positions of increasing accountability, including: information technology, marketing, product management, corporate strategy, corporate development, and business unit management.
Christopher Grahn, Managing Director, APAC
Christopher Grahn is the Managing Director for the Asia Pacific market at Lavastorm Analytics, where he builds on the customer base and drives expansion and growth. He was previously Managing Director at Digitalroute AB, where he lead sales, marketing, and services in the Asia Pacific & Middle East Africa markets. Over the past 10 years, Christopher has been CEO of both publicly listed and venture capital funded companies and held board positions for businesses in multiple fields. As CEO of Ascade AB he grew the business tenfold and controlled over 50% of the global market. Prior to his CEO and Board positions, Christopher was a senior strategy consultant at PwC Management Consulting in Sweden and Canada. He graduated with a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping Institute of Technology in Sweden, including MBA exchange studies at University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA.
Toffer Winslow, General Manager, Analytics Business
Toffer Winslow is General Manager of Lavastorm’s Analytics Business. He’s a software executive with two decades of experience in marketing, strategy, business development, and general management. He most recently served as CMO of dynaTrace where he built the global marketing engine that propelled the company to yearly growth in excess of 100% and ultimately to an acquisition by Compuware for $256M – 12 times revenue. Earlier in his career he held leadership roles at RSA Security (acquired by EMC) and Empirix (acquired by Oracle). He began his career as a strategy consultant with Monitor Company, and received BA (Hons.) from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Stefan Robsen, VP Global Solutions
Stefan Robsen is Vice President of Solutions and head of the EMEA Office at Lavastorm Analytics. Stefan has 18 years experience in the telecommunications industry, including responsibility for Fraud and Revenue Management, Business development, and Product Development.Stefan has focused on designing and delivering highly complex solutions for the Telecommunications industry and management processes for the order to cash stream in all parts of the world. Prior to Lavastorm Analytics, Stefan worked for Telia Mobile, the largest Mobile Operator in Sweden where he implemented and managed Billing Systems, CRM Systems and Network Communication Systems.
David Thomas, Group Chief Financial Officer
Dave heads up finance and commercial for MDS Group. He is the conscience of the business, ensuring we take commercially viable decisions for the benefit of the company as a whole. Dave left KPMG in February 2004 to take up the role of CFO at ALG Software and helped double its size,with profitable growth, within two years. He eventually drove the sale of the business to Business Objects for more than thirty times EBITDA. MDS, which he joined in October 2009, represents Dave’s third CFO role within an international technology business. Away from work Dave’s spends as much time as possible with his two young children (and even occasionally his wife) and tries (but usually fails) to keep himself fit. A keen Rugby Union fan who played second row for various clubs back in his native north east, Dave was also once a sprinter,clocking a PB of 10.5 seconds for the 100m.
Matt Hooper, Chief Marketing Officer
Matt Hooper was appointed as Chief Marketing Officer of MDS Group in August 2010 and is responsible for the company’s global marketing and commercial product management operation.Previously Matt was CMO of Celona Technologies, leaders in enterprise data management software, responsible for positioning the business to achieve revenue growth of 200% in two years. Prior, he was EVP Marketing at Colibria AS, a global leader in mobile instant messaging infrastructure, responsible for all aspects of Colibria’s marketing operation and strategy, enabling the company to achieve a market leadership position in 18 months with revenue growth of over 300%. Matt brings extensive experience to MDS, achieved through 18 years of working in enterprise software and communications marketing, product management and business development. Matt was also Director of Product Marketing and Director of Product Management for QUALCOMM and was a founding Executive Vice President of Marketing and Alliances at Elata, the SDP pioneer, being instrumental in enabling the business as a leader in mobile Service Delivery Platform solutions leading to their acquisition by QUALCOMM in 2005. Matt has also held senior marketing positions in the UK and overseas with Orange, BT Global,Hewlett Packard and Parametric Technology (PTC). Matt holds a Degree in business studies and is an MCIM member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is also a member of the CMO Council.
