Marketing Communications Manager

Job description:

Lavastorm is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to assist in the management of our marketing platforms, and contribute to our overall marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop product marketing content, including data sheets and web copy
  • Develop customer and prospect communication best practices
  • Responsible for all activity in Hubspot – including email blasts, campaign management, reporting etc.
  • Research/write blog posts on relevant topics
  • Assist with developing and executing marketing strategy for the organization
  • Assist with the creation of marketing campaigns including e-blasts and workflows to customers and prospects
  • Assist with webinar planning and execution
  • Assist with the coordination of tradeshows and events
  • Assist with special projects including clean up of customer database information

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Creative thinker who does not shy away from sharing their ideas
  • Someone who is excited to learn more about marketing and gain valuable experience
  • Strong writing skills, and a high attention to detail
  • Experience with HubSpot is required
  • Experience with WordPress, analytics, GoToWebinar, social media strategy, and/or database management is a plus
  • Local to Boston and able to commute to our Seaport Boston office

Lead Development Representative

Job description:

Lavastorm is seeking a Lead Development Representative to generate qualified sales opportunities for our new product Dataverse (www.yourdataverse.com) with new customers through responding to marketing generated leads, inbound interest and targeted outbound prospecting.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualify and follow up on inbound leads and freemium product downloads leads and develop account strategy for all prospects
  • Cold calling and warm calling prospects for new sales opportunities and freemium downloads
  • Prioritize accounts and build rapport with customers to understand needs
  • Work closely with marketing team and sales engineers to development messaging and process to nurture prospects
  • Work with solutions consultants on technical questions and issues to ensure adequate resolution
  • Ensure high satisfaction with the potential customer throughout the sales cycle
  • Identify opportunities for upsell within the freemium customer base
  • Manage nurture campaigns and other presales activity
  • Track and measure sales activities

Qualifications:

  • Must have 1-3+ years in a software, inside sales environment
  • Capable and eager for outbound prospecting
  • Proven track record of sales success with a consistent record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Self-directed; systematic and able to manage workflow in CRM system
  • Excellent prospecting, communication, relationship building and closing skills
  • Experience identifying and qualifying enterprise clients and working closely with field sales representative on those accounts

Technical Support Engineer

Job description:

Lavastorm is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide world-class technical support to our customers. From financial services to communications, you will work with customers that are on the leading edge of the analytic revolution. You will help customers by addressing their current questions or problems as well as provide guidance associated with the best use of Lavastorm software. Additionally, you work closely with other members of the Lavastorm team including Sales and Engineering to ensure a superior customer experience with both the product and the company as a whole.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, reproduce and resolve customer reported problems
  • Provide best practices and guidance to customers questions
  • Act as a facilitator by communicating to customers what we know about a reported problem, setting expectations for what will happen next, and when it will happen
  • Escalate and work with engineering when needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Experience using statistical programming tools, business intelligence, and/or analytics solutions a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Linux and Windows
  • Experience with Python and SQL
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work with end-user customers directly in a courteous and professional manner
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment, under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Self-directed, proactive, strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
